Q         Is there a strict or specific etiquette I need to adhere to when attending a Hindu Wedding?

A         Not as such.  A Hindu wedding ceremony is filled with traditions and has

Holy and spiritual elements, however it is also filled with jubilant gestures

And has lots of joy, smiles and laughter – after all it is a celebration!

We would ask all our guests to respect a code of silence during the essential

Religious rituals carried out by the Priest.  Dress code has been covered under

           A separate section.

Q        Will the ceremony be carried out in an Indian Lauguage?

A        The Priest will speak in the Indian Language according to the holy book,

However will be translating in English too.

There will also be a wedding programme for all our guests giving a step by

Step guide to the whole ceremony.

A       All you need to do is find your best frock or a smart pair of trousers/Jacket!

Ladies: Indian suits/sarees/cocktail dress/trouser suit

           In advance.

Q        Wedding Present

A         It goes without saying that we are truly humbled to have your presence  to celebrate our very special day.

In the Hindu culture it is not generally customary to have a wedding gift list.  If you do wish to give a gift, it is

common practice to place something inside the wedding card.  There will be Wedding Card Boxes at the Reception

for you to place your wedding cards in.

Q         Is there residential parking on your road when I attend a pre-wedding party?

A         There is extremely limited parking on our road due to almost every house having offstreet parking.  With most houses having at

least two cars you will find it extremely challenging to find a space!!!  The good thing is that Wentworth Road is a very big

road so although you may not get a space near our house, we are sure you will find something a short walk away. We strongly     recommend you car share or get a taxi!! Our house will be adorned with Celebration lights outside so it wont be hard to find!!
